Management Aptitude Test (MAT) is a standardised test being administered since 1988 to facilitate Business Schools (B-Schools) to screen candidates for admission to MBA and allied programmes. Govt. of India, Ministry of HRD approved MAT as a national level test in 2003. Any B-School – national or international – can consider MAT Score as an admission input based on the Score Cards issued to the candidates. The largest test of its kind in the nation, MAT will continue to be your passport to over 600 B-Schools across India.
Management Aptitude Test (MAT) is a national-level management entrance examination. The test scores are used for admission to various MBA, PGDM and allied management programmes. The exam is conducted by All India Management Association (AIMA). More than 600 B-Schools accept MAT exam scores.
MAT is held four times in a year: February, May, September and December. MAT 2017 December was held on December 10, 2017 (10.00am-12.30pm) and computer-based test will take place on December 16, 2017.
MAT 2017 Eligibility
Here’s the eligibility criteria for the MAT 2017 December exam:
- Graduates in any discipline can take the exam.
- Final year graduation students can also apply.
- There’s no age limit for MAT exam.
MAT is conducted 4 times in a year. MAT 2017 did not witness any significant changes compared to the previous papers. MAT exam paper is divided into 5 sections, each comprising 40 questions. MAT exam is held for almost two-and-a-half hours. The test covers two hundred (200) questions in 150 minutes. The aspirant is tested in the following five areas: Indian and Global Environment, Language Comprehension, Data Analysis and Sufficiency, Mathematical Skills, Intelligence and Critical Reasoning. There are 40 questions in each section. Each question carries one mark, whereas, one/fourth mark is deducted for every wrong answer.
