You are not out of the league if you have missed the September intake deadline, In fact you can still make it up for your Under Graduation and Post Graduation degrees. How?
For Universities in Abroad, the primary Intake is in September i.e Fall session, but a lot of universities accept the applications for January i.e Winter semester and for the colleges there are Three Intakes in a year Fall, Winter and Summer session.
The January session is more available for the Post Graduation and Part-Time courses. But you can also apply for Under Graduation courses if the University is offering any course, but mostly does.
Here are some of the Popular Countries intakes mentioned below for the reference:
German Universities follow a two-semester system. The Wintersemester (wintersemester) is during which most students join the university. It runs from October 1 to March 31, with lectures beginning on October 15 and lasting 4 months.
Canadian Universities, the deadlines for Fall intake are between January and April and deadlines for Winter intake are between June and September. It takes about 8 to 12 weeks for an application to be processed in Universities and colleges require about 2 to 4 weeks to process an application.
Universities in UK, For all undergraduate programs, there is usually a single application submission date regardless of the domain of study. The application deadlines for many specialized masters programs also extend to January or February and vary from program to program. If the requisite number of places are not filled then applications sent after the deadline are also considered.
Australia generally has two intakes i.e. February and July, with few Universities offering multiple intake in September & November. It is suggested that you should start making applications ideally 7-8 months prior to the intake. Universities generally takes around 4-6 weeks to process the applications.
Universities in Singapore. The popular universities like National University of Singapore (NUS), Nanyang Technological University (NTU) and Singapore Management University (SMU) have two intakes for postgraduates, i.e., August and January. On the other hand, undergraduate students have a single intake period,i.e, August.
Irish Universities have a second intake of students every year in January, in addition to their major intake in September. Foundation, undergraduate and postgraduate courses are available and studying in January means allowing more time to arrange funds or to complete pre-university study.
U.S Universities have two intakes for admission purposes, namely Fall and Spring semesters. Fall semester starts in late August and ends in late December or early January whereas the Spring semester begins in January and ends in early May.
There are two main Intakes in France for the international students, whereas the September intake is given more important by some, both of them, January and September are equally important for both students and universities for France.
